About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the engineering consulting industry is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Draughtsperson to join their civil engineering sector in Pretoria. This is a great opportunity for an experienced civil draughtsperson to expand their experience and grow with a innovative new company.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed engineering drawings and plans for civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, roadways, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop design concepts and solutions.
- Assist with conceptual design development and drawing, translate specifications and designs into engineering drawings to be issued for construction.
- Provide engineers with preliminary drawings with initial conceptual information for further refinement.
- Calculate quantities and measurements to enable the team to produce effective and accurate schedules.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Review and revise drawings as necessary.
- Supervise and provide guidance to junior draughtspersons.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Utilize the latest drafting software and technology to optimize design processes.
Requirements
- National Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in the civil engineering sector.
- Experience in all types of building structures and experience in civil structures projects will be advantage.
- Proficiency in drafting software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM modelling and Civil 3D.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
