About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced management couple to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality’s lodge in the beautiful Greater Addo region of the Eastern Cape. As a hands-on, business-minded duo with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, you will be responsible for running a sustainable and efficient operation while upholding our commitment to hospitality and conservation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management of lodge operations, ensuring smooth daily functionality
  • Oversight of all departments including front of house, housekeeping, maintenance, guiding, and food & beverage
  • Implementation and maintenance of lodge standards, policies, and procedures
  • Budget management, cost control, stock control, procurement, and reporting
  • Oversight of reservations, billing, and financial reconciliation
  • Strong administrative systems and record keeping
  • Hosting guests and ensuring a high level of personalised service
  • Managing guest feedback, queries, and special requests
  • Upholding service excellence throughout the guest journey
  • Recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management of staff
  • Staff scheduling, discipline, and motivation
  • Creating a positive, professional team culture
  • Oversight of general maintenance, lodge infrastructure, and vehicles
  • Coordinating preventative maintenance and supplier relationships
  • Strong business acumen with a hands-on leadership style
  • Organised, solution-driven, and detail-oriented
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to a bush environment
  • Passion for hospitality, conservation, and rural tourism

Requirements

  • Proven experience in lodge or hospitality management, ideally within a safari or remote lodge environment
  • Formal business qualification essential: Business Management / Business Leadership (BML), Commerce, BCom, and/or Hospitality Management
  • Strong financial and administrative understanding, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and reporting
