About the Role
The Limpopo Career Consortium is seeking a highly experienced VOHE Superintendent to join our team in Burgersfort. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene systems, as well as providing expert advice on safety, health, and environmental matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Hazard identification and risk assessment
- Risk management experience
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of VOHE / SHE systems
- Database formulation
- Providing thorough knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health Legislation, Occupational Hygiene Principles, Ventilation Engineering Principles, Palladium Hygiene Programme, and Safety, Health and Environmental integration
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Hygiene or related science at NQF Level 6
- COM Advanced Certificate in Mine Environment Control NQF level 6
- Diploma in Environmental Health (advantageous)
- Certificate in Occupational Hygiene (advantageous)
- Minimum of 7 years practical experience in the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene field, with at least 5 years in the Mining and/or Concentrating Plant environment
Qualifications
- Occupational Hygienist registration with the South African Institute of Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH) or membership with the Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa as an Occupational Hygiene Technologist
- Valid Certificate of Fitness (Red Ticket)
- Valid drivers license
