About the Role
E-Merge, a company known for innovation, excellence, and long-term value creation, is seeking a technically exceptional Software Technical Lead to join their team and play a critical role in driving engineering excellence and innovation across their platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of architecture, code, and team mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive engineering excellence and innovation across E-Merge’s platforms
- Lead the software development team to deliver high-quality solutions
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to improve their skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in software development
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead or equivalent senior engineering role
- Expert understanding of the software development process and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Extensive C# .Net programming experience with expertise in ASP.NET (Web forms) / MVC
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript libraries, including Angular, Underscore, KnockoutJs, JQuery, BackboneJS, Foundation, etc.
- Experience with CD/CI pipelines and cloud PaaS consumption
- Familiarity with Rest Services and ASP .Net Core (Web Api, Windows Services)
Qualifications
- BCom / BSc degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or related field
Salary & Benefits
- Cost to company salary of up to R1.4m per annum depending on experience and ability
