About the Role
The Medical Accounts Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring timely, compliant, and efficient handling of patient or client data while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture, review and process invoices and medical claims, records, or authorizations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Verify patient, provider, and medical aid/insurance information
- Liaise with healthcare providers / hospitals, insurers and internal departments to resolve queries or discrepancies
- Maintain and update patient or client records in relevant systems
- Monitor workflow queues and meet turnaround times and productivity targets
- Generate reports and maintain processing logs as required
- Handle confidential medical information in line with data protection regulations
Requirements
- Matric and Finance / Accounting / Business Admin Certificate / Diploma or similar
- Minimum 2 years accounts / finance / invoicing or billing experience
- MS Office, especially Excel skills
- Strong administrative skills
- Fluent in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills
