To ensure an exceptional, personalized guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality, operational efficiency, and staff performance.
Plays a dual role: overseeing guest experience (front-of-house) and operational management of the lodge.  This role is hands-on and highly guest-focused, while still managing staff and standards.

Housekeeping & Maintenance Oversight
Safari & Activity Coordination
Financial & Commercial Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Compliance

Exceptional guest service and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a remote environment
Financial and operational acumen
Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 
Typical Qualifications & Experience
Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or similar
3–5+ years’ experience in a luxury lodge or 5-star hotel
Previous supervisory or management experience essential
Knowledge of safari/lodge operations highly advantageous
Wine knowledge (beneficial)
Valid driver’s license (often required in remote lodges)
 
Working Conditions (Eastern Cape Lodges)
Live-in position (remote location)
Shift work, including weekends and public holidays
Long hours with a hands-on operational role
High guest interaction and expectation environment
