About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Farms Production Officer to join our team in Somerset West. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, business, or management related fields, with a proven track record of success in the citrus/grapes industry. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for optimizing farm operations, managing budgets and cashflows, and ensuring the overall efficiency of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage farm operations to ensure optimal productivity and quality
- Develop and implement financial plans and analysis to drive business growth
- Optimize people performance and effective management of HR & talent
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external growers, business partners, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with production personnel to achieve production targets and quality requirements
- Manage budgets and cashflows to ensure financial stability
- Analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Business or Management related
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of exposure in the citrus/grapes industry from grassroots processes to quality requirements
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years established in external grower relations
- General agricultural knowledge and general business acumen
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant subject matter field is desirable
