About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer (Chief Expert) to join our team in Gauteng, South Africa. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex SAP solutions using ABAP, Fiori, and TAX modules. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. Your expertise in SAP S/4HANA Financial modules and integration with TAX processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Fit-to-Template workshops and drive FIT/GAP analysis
- Design solution architecture and configure SAP S/4HANA Financial modules
- Integrate TAX processes into the S/4 landscape using Fiori/ABAP
- Develop unit testing, integration testing, and support system integration tests
- Configure end user authorization role scoping and basic SAP authorization knowledge
- Create functional specs, configuration guides, and test scripts
- Coordinate with cross-functional Feature Team members
- Perform Go-Live and hypercare activities for finance-focused implementations
Requirements
- Deep functional expertise in SAP TAX modules
- Strong experience configuring SAP S/4HANA Financial modules and integrating TAX processes into the S/4 landscape
- Proven ability to perform Fit-to-Template workshops and drive FIT/GAP analysis
- Extensive experience in solution design, process configuration, and parameterization following a global template approach
- Strong testing skills including unit testing, integration testing, and support of system integration tests
- Experience with end user authorization role scoping and basic SAP authorization knowledge
- Excellent documentation skills
- Familiarity with BTP integration scenarios
- Proficiency using collaboration and ALM tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Xray (or equivalent)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Qualifications
- At least 10+ years SAP ABAP/Fiori/TAX experience
- Experience working in international teams
- Business process knowledge in Finance area
