In terms of salary expectations, it’s common for construction and trades positions to offer competitive compensation packages, but actual figures can vary widely depending on experience, company size, and industry sector. Typically, entry-level positions may fall within the range of R3 000 – R6 000 per month, while more senior roles or those in larger companies can command salaries upwards of R12 000 – R20 000 per month. The construction industry is often divided into various sectors, including infrastructure development, residential construction, commercial building, and industrial manufacturing. Financial services sector companies may occasionally require tradespeople with expertise in building design or maintenance, while technology industry firms might need personnel familiar with data centre construction or IT infrastructure integration.
