About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our luxury safari lodge in Kruger National Park. As a senior HR leader, you will be responsible for driving strategic human resources management, staff development, and organisational culture within our live-in environment. This is an exciting opportunity to lead HR strategy in a high-end safari lodge setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and enhance the Lodge Training & Development Programme
- Collaborate with external training providers and facilitators
- Conduct skills gap analyses and contribute to long-term training strategy
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor annual training programmes within budget
- Develop internal learning resources and knowledge-sharing systems
- Coordinate in-person, online, and outsourced training initiatives
- Manage full employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance, exits)
- Provide HR support and guidance to staff and management
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and HR best practices
- Support line managers with policy implementation and staff development
- Oversee performance appraisals and maintain employee records
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture
- Support employee wellbeing initiatives with relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Skills Development, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ HR management experience, ideally in hospitality or lodge operations
- Strong knowledge of HR legislation and employee relations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strategic mindset with strong focus on staff development and performance management
