About the Role
The Mechanical / Electrical Technician â Millwright position is a critical role within our organisation, requiring an experienced individual with strong technical skills and ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, as well as working collaboratively with the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics on equipment and machinery
- Install, maintain, and repair control systems, including PLCs and VSDs
- Work with motors, gearboxes, and general mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Read technical drawings and specifications to complete tasks accurately
- Collaborate with the team to resolve issues and improve system efficiency
Requirements
- N3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Millwright
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with PLCs, VSDs, motors, and control systems
- Knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, and general mechanical systems
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
