Adelaide: SHEEP AND MAINTENANCE FARM MANAGER

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheep and Maintenance Farm Manager to join our team in Adelaide. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management of our sheep farm, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency while maintaining high standards of animal welfare and farm maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the sheep farm, including feeding, breeding, and health monitoring
• Oversee the maintenance of farm equipment, irrigation pumps, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance
• Develop and implement effective management strategies to improve farm productivity and efficiency
• Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing animal welfare and environmental sustainability

Requirements

• Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
• Previous farm management experience essential
• At least 3 years experience in sheep farming
• Computer literate
• Excellent stockmanship
• Strong management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Maintenance orientated
• Extensive knowledge of the repair and maintenance of farm equipment, irrigation pumps and irrigation systems
• Valid drivers license
