Job Description

Situated in the heart of the African bush, this intimate luxury safari lodge offers a personalised and refined guest experience, blending exceptional hospitality with a strong connection to nature and wildlife storytelling. They are looking for a proactive and hands-on Lodge Manager with strong leadership ability, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine passion for delivering high-end guest experiences while overseeing the smooth day-to-day operation of the lodge.
 
Candidate Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring seamless functioning across all departments
  • Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team to maintain exceptional service standards
  • Manage guest relations, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and personalised experiences
  • Monitor lodge finances, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting
  • Ensure all operational standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies are upheld
  • Coordinate between departments including F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance and Guiding team
  • Scheduling of staff and freelancers
  • Drive operational efficiency while maintaining the lodge’s luxury and personal standards
  • Help grow vision and work with Directors

Core Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior management role within a lodge or luxury hospitality environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all lodge departments
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible shifts in a live-in environment
