About the Role
We are seeking a highly guest-facing Host/Duty Manager to join our luxury 5-star hotel in Ballito, where you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless guest journey and maintaining exceptional service standards across all departments during shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests in a professional, warm manner
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver proactive service
- Manage special occasions, requests, and guest preferences
- Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism
- Maintain a visible and consistent hosting presence throughout the hotel
- Oversee Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, and Spa during shift to ensure smooth operational flow during peak service periods
- Support and guide team members on the floor
- Step in operationally where required to maintain service excellence
- Coordinate effectively across all departments
- Uphold luxury service standards at all times
- Monitor room presentation, public areas, and guest spaces
- Conduct regular property walkthroughs during shift
Requirements
- Previous guest-facing hospitality experience essential
- Luxury or boutique hotel background preferred
- Basic understanding of multi-department hotel operations
- Opera Cloud / Micros experience advantageous
