About the Role
An established and cutting-edge digital Dental Laboratory in Blackheath, Johannesburg, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Dental Technician to join their team. This position is ideal for a technician who is passionate about full-arch digital dentistry and experienced in designing complex treatment plans using leading CAD/CAM software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design a wide range of restorations including full-arch prosthetics (FP1/FP3), All-on-X, implant restorations, crowns, bridges, and veneers using 3Shape, Exocad, or similar platforms
- Analyse intraoral scans, DICOM data, and clinical prescriptions with precision
- Lead and support full-arch digital workflows, from virtual design to manufactured appliances, including wax-up, smile design, implant positioning, and surgical guide planning
- Collaborate with clinicians and internal teams to deliver high-quality, aesthetic, and functional outcomes
Requirements
- 5 years’ CAD/CAM dental design experience, with a strong portfolio of implant and full-arch cases
- Advanced knowledge of occlusion, dental anatomy, and restorative materials
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in aligner and retainer design, All-on-X, and complex full-arch workflows
Qualifications
- Valid SADTC registration as a Dental Technician
- Own transport essential
Salary & Benefits
R25 000 – R45 000 dependent on experience
