What you’ll be doing
Primary Function – Leadership & Subcontractor Management

  • Lead and coordinate all subcontractors across civil, mechanical, piping, and electrical disciplines.
  • Supervise and provide direct guidance to the Site Project Engineer and supervisory personnel.
  • Monitor subcontractor productivity, manpower allocation, and workmanship quality.

Primary Function – Execution & Technical Oversight

  • Coordinate daily construction activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and priorities.
  • Oversee critical project phases, including testing, commissioning, punch-list closure, and final handover.
  • Review and coordinate RFIs, site instructions, and technical documentation between site and engineering teams.

Secondary Function – Financial & Stakeholder Management

  • Support commercial and contractual management, including subcontractor scope execution and progress claims.
  • Manage site reporting, progress tracking, and coordination meetings with all project stakeholders.
  • Identify construction constraints and resolve technical issues in collaboration with design teams.

What you’ll need

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: At least 8 years in construction or industrial project environments, with proven experience managing multidisciplinary site teams on piping or pump station projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and construction specifications, combined with a working knowledge of ASME and SANS codes.
  • Compliance & Logistics: Must possess a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Site Access: Successful candidates must be able to pass a site medical and security clearance for site access.
  • Availability: Willingness to be 100% site-based for the full 5-month duration.
  • Bilingual: English & Afrikaans
