Cape Town City Centre: Accounts Receivable Clerk

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable, while also providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recording and posting daily cashbook transactions accurately
  • Applying receipts to the correct stores and debtor IDs
  • Performing accurate bank, cashbook, and account reconciliations
  • Reconciling daily cash deposits and offline transactions between Micros, bank statements, and TMS reports
  • Investigating and following up on till variances, missing records, and offline handset settlements with stores, G4S, and managers
  • Preparing and distributing monthly turnover and revenue reports
  • Maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable aging, invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and daily auto‑applying of receipts

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a high-volume environment
  • Proficient on Microsoft Excel
  • Strong experience in the Accounts Receivable function
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

Matric (non-negotiable)

Degree in accounting (or similar)
