About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer or Civil Technologist to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, conceptual design, detail design, specifications, procurement process, administration, contract administration, and project management of civil engineering projects.
- Carrying out measurements and valuations to produce accurate project schedules, quantities, and valuations at all stages of a project.
- Providing project information and assistance to Project Leaders to enable effective project management.
- Construction contract documentation compilation (GCC and FIDIC) and procurement processes.
- Report compilation for civil projects.
- Assistance with technical advancement by pursuing technical excellence and maintaining quality assurance on projects.
- Ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Excellent technical writing skills, with good communication and time management skills.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards.
Requirements
- B Eng/BSc/B Tech Eng in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 3-6 years post-graduation experience
Qualifications
- Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, WaterMate, and PipeMate or similar design packages will be an advantage.
- Experience in designing municipal services (water & sanitation, roads and stormwater, internal, link, and bulk)
