About the Role
PBT Group is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their high-performing data engineering capability, focusing on delivering scalable and modern cloud-based data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be hands-on with GCP experience, enjoy building and optimizing data pipelines, and have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes.
- Develop solutions using GCP technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple source systems.
- Support the development of modern cloud data platforms and data warehouses.
- Implement data transformation logic and business rules.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, and governance standards are maintained.
- Optimize query performance and large-scale data processing workloads.
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong experience with BigQuery, SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT pipeline development.
- Understanding of modern data warehousing concepts and architectures.
- Experience working with large datasets and data transformation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
