About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our innovative engineering team in Potchefstroom, South Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical documentation for advanced mining safety technologies used in underground and surface mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop operator manuals, installation manuals, commissioning guides, and technical user documentation
- Create structured fault-finding and troubleshooting guides
- Maintain document control and version management systems
- Develop technical diagrams, flowcharts, tables, and illustrations
- Work closely with engineering teams to verify technical information
- Develop and issue technical bulletins and system updates
- Ensure all documentation aligns with quality standards and operational requirements
- Maintain revision histories and document registers
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience writing technical training or engineering documentation
- Minimum 2 years exposure within a technical, engineering, mining, or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of technical systems and electrical fundamentals
- Engineering Diploma or Degree advantageous
- Excellent written English communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and formatting tools
