About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, where you will be responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on industrial and manufacturing equipment. With a strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and safety protocols, you will diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on industrial and manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Assist in assembling, wiring, and testing of control panels and electrical systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and electrical standards
- Collaborate with the engineering and mechanical teams to support production and project requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with project documentation when required
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician (Trade Tested Red Seal)
- Minimum 3 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and safety protocols
- Experience with panel wiring, control systems, and fault finding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
