About the Role
Northam Utilities is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and removing illegal and unsafe connections within electricity generation and distribution areas, while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting and removing illegal and unsafe connections
- Working at heights and operating aerial platforms
- Executing tasks in live low-voltage environments
- Maintaining a high level of safety awareness and following industry standards
Requirements
- Technical qualification as an Electrician
- Safety-conscious attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- NRS040 Certificate
- Trade Test Certificate
- Basic Fire Fighting Aerial Platform Operating Certificate
- LV Live Working Certificate 04
- First Aid Level
- Working at Heights Medicals Certificate
Qualifications
- Formal education in Electrical Engineering or related field (if applicable)
