Job Description: The Engineering department has a vacancy for an attentive to detail, process-driven and organized individual to join their team as a Workshop Administrator, mainly focused on assisting with administration for the Electrical workshop. The position requires someone who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding and pressurized environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Electrical Manager. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Managing email requests and correspondence Managing telephonic requests and correspondence Processing of quotations and invoicing for repairs, maintenance, parts and tools Ordering parts and spares from the internal stores Liaise with suppliers regarding quotations and orders Filling and record keeping as it relates to the department Assisting with CWorks maintenance system, assigning and distributing requests as instructed by Manager Manage the office, and assist with the flow of tasks and responsibilities Assist Manager with adherence to relevant safety requirements Assist Manager with overtime planning Any other tasks including administrative functions such as completing timesheets, reports as agreed with the Electrical Manager, suited to this level of responsibility Qualifying Criteria Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent Relevant administrative qualification or diploma Experience in a maintenance/engineering administration role Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a similar role Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS outlook) Strong administrative ability Knowledgeable on the Occupational Health & Safety Act Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English) Qualifying Attributes: Hard working and self-motivated Good interpersonal skills Display a professional work approach Time management and organizational skills Result-driven Logical and detail orientated Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Excellent standards in execution Commitment to a strong business ethic and integrity Attention to detail and accuracy Other Information: Job title: Workshop Administrator Reporting to: Electrical Manager Job type: Permanent position Benefits include · Provident fund · Medical aid – hospital plan · Life cover at 4x annual salary · Funeral cover · 15 x paid leave days per annum · Long service leave after five years of employment Standard hours 07h30–17h00: Monday – Thursday 07h30–16h00: Friday May be required to work overtime as per operational requirements Salary We offer a highly competitive package depending on the extent of the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
