About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments with clients to determine the best solution for their requirements
  • Provide expert product knowledge and advice
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan by pursuing new clients to call on
  • Actively dedicate time to achieving monthly sales targets
  • Ensure pipeline of clients is well looked after and that strong relationships are maintained with excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with the installation team to ensure a smooth installation process for the client
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments and leverage this knowledge to position the company as a leader in the market

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Minimum 5 years experience on the road calling on clients
  • Drivers license with own reliable transport
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Knowledge of CRM software and ability to use it effectively to manage leads and track sales activities

About the Role

The successful candidate will represent a leading provider of specialised industrial cleaning chemical products, focusing on growing the branch by obtaining new clients, maintaining current relationships, and performing commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate three years of experience in a similar sales environment.
  • Call on an average of ten clients per day and maintain a 4-to-6-week client call cycle.
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Provide product demonstrations and carry out technical installations or repairs where necessary.
  • Meet agreed sales targets and develop upselling opportunities at existing clients.
  • Conduct staff training for all clients and manage all related administrative documentation.

  • Grade 12 / Matric.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling chemicals to the Hospitality, Food & Beverage, and Laundry industries, while also facilitating business development through obtaining new clients and maintaining current client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Call on an average of ten clients per day
  • Ensure weekly call report is completed and submitted to the Sales Manager
  • Complete a client call planner and repeat in a 4-to-6-week cycle
  • Monitor sales and gross profit activities
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activities
  • Provide product demonstrations at new and existing clients
  • Develop new business opportunities at existing clients (upselling)
  • Meet the agreed sales targets

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Sales / Marketing Diploma advantageous
  • Three years experience in a similar sales environment essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate level preferred
  • Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle required
  • Excellent selling, presentation, and bilingual communication skills (verbal and written) required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and organizational skills required
  • Ability to meet deadlines and good problem-solving skills

Communication and Feedback

  • Attend and participate in all sales meetings
  • Communicate on new opposition products, special account developments, and any other relevant information gathered through field activities to provide feedback to Sales Manager

Administration Services

  • Assist the Debtors department with following up of monies when required to do so
  • Ensure new clients have the correct cash or credit application forms completed
  • Provide updated client contact information
  • Manage product merchandizing in the market and exercise brand image control (e.g. stickers, wall charts, etc.)
  • Provide prompt quotations to clients within 24 hours of visit and ensure follow-up of quotes
  • Ensure HSE standards (as relating to our product supply) are maintained on client sites
  • Perform Stock Management and stock taking on a regular basis where required to do so
