About the Role

The Opportunity If you enjoy building strong customer relationships and seeing the direct results of your work, this role is for you. You will take ownership of the Western Cape region , working with hardware stores and distributors who already value long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales across the Western Cape region
  • Build and maintain relationships with hardware stores and hardware retailers
  • Sell tools, DIY tools, and hardware products to retail and distribution customers
  • Identify new business opportunities with suppliers and retail clients
  • Achieve monthly sales targets through regular customer visits and follow-ups

Requirements

  • 3 years experience as a Sales Representative in hardware, tools, or distribution
  • Strong understanding of hardware retailers and wholesale distribution
  • Experience selling tools or DIY products
  • Ability to manage a sales territory independently
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel in the region

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a sales professional, you will be responsible for driving business development, maintaining our brand reputation, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with our Sales Manager to achieve agreed-upon sales targets and contribute to the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct an average of ten client calls per day
  • Ensure that a weekly call report is completed and submitted to the Sales Manager
  • Complete a client call planner and repeat it on a four-to-six-week cycle
  • Monitor sales performance and gross profit activities
  • Present and sell company products and services to existing and potential clients
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals generated through field activities
  • Provide product demonstrations to both new and existing clients
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts (upselling)
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years experience in a similar sales environment
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle
  • Excellent selling, presentation, and bilingual communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
