About the Role

As a Sales Representative in our Cape Town City Centre office, you will be responsible for guiding the full sales cycle to secure large lighting contracts with businesses and electrical contractors. You will travel to active construction and industrial sites to demonstrate the clear value of our lighting systems, work closely with the technical design team to ensure every project meets strict safety rules and client standards, and build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Durban.

Key Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our brand presence across existing and new retail partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive consistent revenue growth through proactive sales strategies
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Expand and strengthen brand presence across existing and new retail partners
  • Increase brand market share within existing retailers
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and sales channels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will represent a leading provider of specialised industrial cleaning chemical products, growing the branch by selling products to the hospitality, food and beverage, and laundry industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate three years of experience in a similar sales environment.
  • Call on an average of ten clients per day and maintain a 4-to-6-week client call cycle.
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Provide product demonstrations and carry out technical installations or repairs where necessary.
  • Meet agreed sales targets and develop upselling opportunities at existing clients.
  • Conduct staff training for all clients and manage all related administrative documentation.
  • Provide prompt service and assistance, including emergency after-hours coverage when required.
  • Perform stock management, regular stock taking, and manage product merchandising in the market.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Three years of experience in a similar sales environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent selling, presentation, and bilingual communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Sales / Marketing Diploma (advantageous).

Salary & Benefits

R16 000 – R19 500 per annum.
