About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our fire protection industry, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple fire protection projects simultaneously, including sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and fire suppression systems.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out activities.
- Review contract documents, technical specifications, and project requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and contractual timelines.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Attend project meetings, site meetings, and progress reviews.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage contract variations, claims, and negotiations professionally.
- Supervise project managers, site supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure project efficiency.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to project teams.
- Ensure effective communication between all departments involved in project execution.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years experience within the fire protection industry.
- Proven experience managing fire sprinkler and fire protection projects.
- Strong knowledge of SANS regulations and fire protection standards.
- Experience managing contracts, budgets, and project teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
