About the Role
To design, build and enable effective data, analytics and AI solutions by deeply understanding the Client’s data environment, translating business needs into well-structured, AI-ready data sources and designs, and delivering practical, user-centric solutions that drive insight, decision-making and business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and understand existing databases, data warehouses and data flows, including tables, relationships, measures and dependencies.
- Advise on best-practice data modelling and architecture when introducing new metrics, measures or data elements.
- Take accountability for understanding where data changes are required and defining what good looks like from a data design and architecture perspective.
- Work closely with data engineers, BI developers and solution architects to design scalable, robust and well-documented data solutions.
- Identify data quality, structure and lineage risks and proactively recommend and support improvements.
- Contribute to and help shape the teams AI strategy, with a strong focus on practical enablement and business value.
- Design how data should be structured, governed and exposed to support AI use cases and API-based access.
- Support AI platforms and services (e.g. large language model environments such as Amazon Bedrock or similar) through appropriate data preparation and solution design.
- Work with technical teams to ensure secure, reliable and governed data access for AI-enabled solutions.
- Identify, assess and prioritise AI use cases based on business value, feasibility and data readiness.
- Translate business problems and data opportunities into practical, usable analytics and AI solutions for internal clients.
- Design and build dashboards, reports and analytical views that support decision-making and business processes.
- Design, configure and build AI agents / copilots for internal users, leveraging available AI platforms and data services.
- Enable and support self-service analytics capabilities, including reusable datasets, measures and analytical components.
- Understand the current analytics and reporting environment and actively improve front-end designs, workflows and user interaction models.
- Perform end-to-end analysis of data, analytics and AI environments to identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Design and build end-to-end solutions spanning data structures, analytics layers and AI-enabled front ends.
- Contribute hands-on to solution delivery, including analytics logic, data preparation and AI solution configuration where required.
- Collaborate across business, data engineering, BI, AI and architecture teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Produce clear documentation, solution designs and implementation artefacts to support sustainability and reuse.
Requirements
- Experience in a data- or analytics-focused role (e.g. technical business analyst, BI developer, data analyst, data engineer or AI specialist).
- Proven experience working with relational databases and data models.
- Experience translating business requirements into data, analytics or AI-enabled solutions.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards, reports or analytics solutions.
