About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Demand, Capacity & Production Planner to join our team at Industrial Bakeware in Cape Town. As the vital link between our commercial and operational teams, you will ensure customer promises are met while driving efficiency and performance on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate sales forecasts, customer orders, and historical trends into a rolling demand plan.
  • Assess production capacity (machines, labor, materials, suppliers) against demand.
  • Highlight capacity gaps and recommend solutions (overtime, subcontracting, equipment changes).
  • Participate in monthly S&OP meetings to align priorities.
  • Define safety stock and buffer levels for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Conduct what-if analyses to anticipate risks (demand spikes, supplier delays, breakdowns).

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel.
  • Balance between long-term forecasting and short-term execution.
  • Excellent communicator able to bridge Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Management.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Resilient under pressure with the ability to adapt quickly.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
