About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rooms to join our leading luxury resort operation in Cape Town. As a passionate hospitality professional with a proven track record in Rooms Division leadership, you will be responsible for driving exceptional guest satisfaction and service excellence across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Concierge, Communications and Boutique Operations
- Drive exceptional guest satisfaction and service excellence across all touchpoints
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, expense control and revenue performance
- Develop, mentor and inspire departmental leaders and teams
- Ensure operational efficiency, compliance, quality standards and productivity targets
- Oversee VIP and guest relations management, service recovery and complaint resolution
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Events, F&B, Maintenance and Human Resources
- Act as Senior Duty Manager and operational leader when required
Requirements
- BTech Degree or National Diploma in Hospitality Management
- 35 years’ experience in a comparable senior leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort
- Minimum 34 years’ management experience within Rooms Division Operations in a 5-star environment
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and revenue management
- Proficiency in Opera, Micros, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Exceptional leadership, communication and guest engagement skills
- South African citizenship essential
