About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client, a Prestigious School in Cape Town, is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies, and advising school leadership on financial planning and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the schools annual budget
- Monitor and report on income, expenditure, and cash flow
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
- Oversee payroll, supplier payments, and school fees collection
- Manage financial audits and liaise with auditors
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting systems
- Advise school leadership on financial planning and sustainability
- Supervise finance/admin staff (if applicable)
Requirements
- 35 years of experience in a similar finance role
- Experience managing 23 staff members
- Knowledge of payroll, VAT, PAYE, and related functions
- Experience with cash flow, reporting, and budgeting
- Accounting diploma or degree (CA(SA) or articles not required)
- Familiarity with EdAdmin (preferred), Sage, and general banking software
- Strong candidates from either school or corporate backgrounds considered
- Female candidates preferred, but strong male candidates also welcomed
- Ideally in early 40s, but open to all ages
