About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a BI Reporting Analyst who will act as the critical interface between non-data business users and the data ecosystem. This role focuses on translating business needs into actionable data queries, delivering ad hoc analysis, and building sustainable reporting solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing and maintaining commercial reporting for the lending business, enabling data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Liaison & Insights Generation:
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document their data and reporting requirements.
- Translate business questions into clear, actionable queries and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Deliver timely ad hoc analysis to address critical business questions.
- Reporting Development & Maintenance:
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and automated reporting solutions to track key performance metrics.
- Ensure all reports are accurate, accessible, and aligned with the business’s strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure reliable data pipelines and integrity of data sources.
- Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve reporting tools, processes, and templates.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth through robust data analysis.
- Provide training and support to business users on BI tools and self-service reporting capabilities.
- Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and credit teams to ensure alignment of reporting solutions with broader data strategies.
- Document reporting processes, data models, and visualization standards.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health of data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and database performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or Excel.
- Advanced SQL experience querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in credit or lending businesses.
- Exposure to Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
- Understanding of data warehouse structures and ETL processes. Snowflake is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in 2-4 years of experience in a BI/analytics role, preferably within the lending or financial services industry.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms AWS or Snowflake.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL or PostgreSQL.
