Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Business Liaison & Insights Generation:
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document reporting requirements.
- Translate business questions into actionable queries and provide meaningful insights.
- Deliver timely ad hoc analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
Reporting Development & Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Work with data engineers to ensure reliable data pipelines and sources.
Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously refine reporting tools, templates, and processes.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth through data analysis.
- Provide training and support for BI tools and self-service reporting capabilities.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and credit teams to align reporting solutions with broader data strategies.
- Document reporting processes, data models, and visualization standards.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Implement monitoring solutions to ensure data pipeline health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data processing or performance issues.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or Excel.
- Advanced SQL experience for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the credit or lending industry.
- Exposure to Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
- Understanding of data warehouse structures and ETL processes (Snowflake is a plus).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Snowflake.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL or PostgreSQL.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a BI/analytics role, preferably within the lending or financial services industry.
