Our client in the renewable energy sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Pr Engineer IPP Project Manager to oversee and manage the execution of our Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects. The candidate will be responsible for the successful completion and delivery of multiple IPP projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budgetary requirements. The Pr Engineer IPP Project Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project success.

Description

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Pr Eng IPP Project Developer and Manager to join a leading company based in Cape Town. As the Pr Eng IPP Project Developer and Manager, you will be responsible for the development, execution, and management of renewable energy projects.

Requirements

Minimum BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering
1 – 3 years of design experience in a work environment
Minimum of 3 years in a management position
Experience in renewables
Microgrid experience required
Project development experience required
IPP project development and implementation (added advantage)
Must be registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (Pr. Eng)

Required Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in producing designs using CAD software (AutoCAD and Microgrids).
Ability to design solar plants using Helioscope or similar PV design systems.
Skill in preparing and managing project budgets and cash flow.
Capability to produce detailed quotes and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) with precision.
Familiarity with Eskom standards and processes.
Experience in HV, MV, and LV installations.
Strong negotiation skills.
Proficiency in preparing and presenting proposals.
Ability to generate Project BoQ.
Competence in procuring equipment.
Capability to manage the implementation of small and utility-scale projects.
Aptitude to be away from home for extended periods of time for projects.Strong problem-solving skills.e for developing Utility Scale projects.
Knowledge of South African Engineering standards.
Understanding of the OHS Act.
Strong leadership skills.
Ownership of a vehicle and a valid drivers license.

Willingness to travel.
Flexibility
