About the Role
The Key Recruitment Group is seeking a highly experienced Product and Manufacturing Engineering Executive to lead their team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate manufacture of products, implementing engineering best practices, and driving innovation within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Product Master Data is accurate to facilitate cost-effective and reliable manufacture of products.
- Ensure that production processes comply with industry standards and group requirements.
- Facilitate the creation of innovative programs to improve throughput or reduce costs.
- Liaise with local and international customers to ensure their requirements are met.
- Lead teams to meet business requirements, introducing and implementing engineering best practices.
- Support manufacturing and assist in developing production processes as needed.
- Collaborate with the Quality department to ensure quality standards are achievable and realistic.
- Overall responsibility for Master data management in the ERP system (SAP) BOM, Routing, etc.
- Lead technical investigations internally and with customers.
- Develop CAPEX proposals to improve production capacity supported through cost-saving initiatives.
- Lead projects within the department.
Requirements
- Eng. or B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Related Field
- At least 5 years of Senior Management experience in manufacturing environments involving machining, fabrication, assembly, precision engineering, automotive, defence, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments involving ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Qualifications
- GCC advantageous.
