About the Role
Caxton & CTP Limited is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer/ General Assistant in Epping, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack according to specifications
- Ensure that all products are properly labeled and coded for accurate tracking
- Assist the operator with
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform basic troubleshooting and safely clear jams to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect products for defects or damage before packaging
- Assist with inventory management and stock control
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Meet productivity goals and deadlines set by the supervisor
- Communicate effectively with team members, operator and supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum grade 10 certificate
- Previous experience in a production environment preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects such as pallet jacks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
