• Manage and oversee a road construction materials laboratory.
• Ensure compliance with Conditions of Contract (GCC 2015) and specifications (COLTO/COTO, SANS 1200, project-specific).
• Implement and manage Quality Control processes and Civil Materials Laboratory standards, including SANS 17025.
• Utilize proficient Microsoft Office skills for project documentation and reporting.
• Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and contractor relations.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.

Requirements:

• Minimum National Diploma (ND) in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Registration with ECSA is advantageous.
• 5-8 years of experience in managing a road construction materials laboratory.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of specifications and Bill of Quantities.
• Experience with managing Quality Control and a Civil Materials Laboratory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong client and contractor relation skills.
• Relevant experience with City of Cape Town projects is advantageous.
