About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer in the field of Renewable Energy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering renewable energy projects, possess excellent technical skills, and possess extensive knowledge of electrical systems and renewable energy technologies. The Senior Project Engineer will play a critical role in driving the client’s renewable energy initiatives, ensuring the successful execution of projects while contributing to a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the execution of renewable energy projects, from design to commissioning, ensuring compliance with project requirements, specifications, and safety standards.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met within the defined time frames.
Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the viability and suitability of renewable energy projects.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and suppliers, to ensure effective communication and seamless project implementation.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, addressing engineering issues, reviewing designs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies to identify and manage project risks effectively.
Analyse project specifications, electrical drawings, and data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and optimization of energy generation and distribution systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to explore new renewable energy technologies, implement innovations, and drive continuous improvement.
Stay updated with industry trends, renewable energy regulations, codes, and standards to ensure compliance and bring innovation to the projects.
Prepare and present project status reports, including progress, budget, and technical issues, to stakeholders and management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional registration with ECSA
Experience in renewable energy field
Experience in managing multi-phase projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
Proficiency in project management software and tools for effective planning and reporting.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to analyse complex technical issues and provide practical solutions.
