About the Role

As a Food and Beverage Cost Controller at Kiara Lodge in Clarens, Free State, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial sustainability of our resort’s food and beverage operations. You will be responsible for calculating costs, planning, and controlling F&B aspects, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports to optimize inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate costs of food and beverage items
  • Plan short and long-term F&B controlling and pricing aspects
  • Record information and produce control reports periodically
  • Maintain suitable inventory of food and beverage items for the entire resort
  • Oversee, receive, issue, store, and manage inventory
  • Conduct daily stock counts on various areas/stocks
  • Document all merchandise entering and leaving the store area
  • Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of storage areas
  • Report on variances and take follow-up action
  • Liaise with suppliers to negotiate best possible pricing
  • Work with computer software (Word, Excel) and have a good understanding of GAAP back-office procedures

Requirements

  • Administration, management, and leadership skills
  • Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience an advantage
