Centurion: Customer Service Specialist

About the Role

The Centurion: Customer Service Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring seamless seed supply chain management for our organization. This position requires an individual with excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as experience in imports or exports, to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure seeds are available on time, in the right quantity and quality in accordance with planning.
  • Take care of forecast and sales planning and provide insights into key planning KPIs such as Mind the Gap, destruction lists, and turnover loss.
  • Manage the import (and export) of seeds for both commercial and breeding purposes.
  • Follow up on changes in import (and export) and phytosanitary regulations.
  • Inform Sales Representatives, Crop Specialists, and Account Managers about availability and pending orders, and share with Specialist Customer Service where applicable.
  • Confirm receipt of trial seeds and manage the distribution of seeds per Sales Representative.
  • Manage quality information of received batches and take actions such as arranging tests when needed.
  • Maintain the Virtual Warehouse.
  • Process authorization for protocols of goods to be locally destroyed and launch credit note requests in coordination with the local Controller.
  • Manage varieties and articles in the assortment for ERP planning.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Logistics or Administration
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in imports or exports would be advantageous
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical
  • Good communication skills in English are essential
  • General computer skills as well as Excel would be an advantage
  • Previous experience within the seed industry would be nice to have but is not critical
