About the Role
The Centurion: Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator will play a critical role in preparing detailed cost estimates for E&I projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards, and driving commercial success through effective tendering processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for E&I projects, including materials, labour, and subcontractor pricing
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scope documents
- Conduct site visits, where required, to assess project requirements
- Compile bills of quantities (BOQs) and tender documentation
- Source and negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Analyse project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams
- Assist with tender adjudication and contract negotiations
- Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing benchmarks
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation
- 38 years experience in E&I estimating within EPCM, construction, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation
- Experience with tendering processes and cost estimation software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
