Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong machine design experience to develop innovative mechanical systems and custom-built equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical assemblies from first principles, performing engineering analyses, and supporting the manufacturing and commissioning process.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical machines and assemblies from concept to detailed design.
– Develop 3D models, assemblies, and production drawings using CAD software.
– Perform mechanical calculations including stress, fatigue, and tolerance analysis.
– Select and integrate mechanical components such as motors, drives, gear systems, bearings, and actuators.
– Collaborate with electrical and control engineers for system integration.
– Support prototype development, testing, and refinement.
– Prepare manufacturing documentation and oversee build processes.
– Ensure designs consider maintainability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/BSc).
– Minimum of 4–7 years’ experience in machine design or equipment development.
– Strong first-principles mechanical design capability.
– Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar).
– Experience with FEA and mechanical simulation tools advantageous.
– Sound understanding of materials, fits and tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
– Ability to manage projects from concept through to implementation.
