About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team based in Centurion. As a critical member of our finance department, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations
- Review and sign off creditor reconciliations and payments
- Process and verify payroll salary inputs for submission
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor accounts payable activities and ensure timely resolution of queries
- Prepare financial reports and schedules as required
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
- Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative duties
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 45 years experience in a bookkeeping or senior bookkeeping role
- Proven experience with general ledger reconciliations
- Experience reviewing and signing off creditors functions
- Exposure to salary input preparation and payroll support
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organisational skills
