We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Centurion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in quantity surveying, with a strong understanding of construction projects and cost management. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that costs are kept within budget and projects are completed on time.

Responsibilities:
– Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
– Analyze and review contractor bids and proposals
– Monitor project costs and identify any variances
– Prepare and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
– Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and quality of workmanship
– Prepare progress reports for management
– Provide advice and guidance on cost management strategies
– Assist in the resolution of any disputes or claims related to costs
– Mentor junior quantity surveyors and provide training as needed

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
– 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
– Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Proficient in construction cost estimation software
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
– Professional Quantity Surveying registration is a plus
