About the Role

Top Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Pinetown. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with expertise in financial management, data analysis, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting lifecycle for clients
• Prepare management accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Implement robust debtor control measures to optimize cash collection
• Analyze and interpret data outputs from Xero or similar cloud-based accounting systems
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, spreadsheet manipulation, formula creation, and pivot table analysis

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Tertiary finance qualification
• 3.5 + Years experience in a similar role
• Advanced Excel proficiency, fully competent in:
• VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
• Spreadsheet and data manipulation
• Formula creation
• Pivot tables & Analyzing and interpreting data outputs (essential)
• End-to-end accounting lifecycle competence
• Strong debtor control and proactive cash collection
• Familiarity with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting systems
• Exposure to year-end audits
• Experience preparing management accounts
• Previous experience managing or mentoring a small team

Qualifications

• Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
