About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join our team as an Assistant Finance Manager in Durban. The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving financial efficiency within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies
- Assist with audits and statutory reporting
- Supervise finance staff and provide guidance where required
- Oversee the Fleet and Stores department and provide support to the Finance Supervisor
- Analyse financial data and prepare management reports
- Support payroll processing and financial controls
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reduce costs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 35 years experience in a finance or accounting role
- Previous supervisory experience will be advantageous
- Experience within the security industry is beneficial
