Chief Financial Officer | Durban (Hammarsdale) | Executive Are you a strategic finance executive with strong manufacturing experience and the ability to drive both operational excellence and business growth? A leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide executive leadership across finance, procurement, and information technology. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, cash flow management, financial reporting, risk management, governance, costing, commercial oversight, and stakeholder engagement. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational involvement, requiring a commercially astute executive who can drive sustainable growth while maintaining strong financial discipline. The CFO will serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and executive team, providing financial insight that supports decision-making, profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation. The role also carries responsibility for shareholder reporting, procurement governance, ERP system integrity, and leadership of the broader finance function. What You’ll Do • Lead and develop the finance, accounting, procurement, and IT functions • Drive the organisation’s financial strategy and long-term planning initiatives • Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and working capital performance • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and business analytics • Ensure accurate and timely management reporting and statutory financial reporting • Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to the CEO and executive team • Oversee product costing, standard costing models, and pricing support initiatives • Ensure ERP system integrity and accurate financial data management • Lead procurement governance and review key commercial contracts • Strengthen internal controls, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, insurers, shareholders, and external stakeholders • Drive financial performance improvement and identify growth opportunities across the business What You Bring • CA(SA) qualification and professional registration • Minimum 10 years post-qualification financial management experience within a manufacturing environment • Strong expertise in IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance • Proven experience in strategic financial leadership at executive level • Strong costing, management accounting, and commercial finance capability • Advanced SYSPRO experience is essential • Experience managing cash flow, working capital, and operational finance functions • Strong stakeholder engagement and shareholder reporting experience • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills • Hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving ability What Success Looks Like • Strong financial governance and compliance across the organisation • Improved profitability, operational efficiency, and financial performance • Effective working capital and cash flow management • Accurate and timely financial reporting and business insights • Robust costing models supporting commercial decision-making • Successful execution of strategic growth and investment initiatives • High-performing finance, procurement, and IT teams • Strong shareholder confidence and stakeholder relationships
