About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DC Manager to lead our warehouse operations in Durban, KZN. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of our inventory, warehouse teams, and departmental expenses. You will also play a crucial role in implementing best practice methodologies to improve DC operation and display leadership in food safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory management and stock loss investigation and reporting
- Management of multiple warehouse teams
- KPI management and upskilling
- IR and HR management
- Continuously improving the performance of the depot
- Managing and measuring warehouse performance based on best practice
- Maintaining and arranging maintenance for freezer equipment and machinery
- Managing driver and forklift operators (licenses, PDPs and renewals)
- Managing departmental expenses within budget
- Displaying a leadership role in Food safety practices
- Complying with all legal requirements, legislations, processes and protocols
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics / Operation / Supply Chain
- 3-5 years Warehouse Management experience
- WMS experience (essential)
- Cold Storage experience (essential)
- ERP system knowledge (Pastel advantageous)
- Transport and Fleet Management advantageous
