About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Commercial to join our team in Durban, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, leading high-performing teams, and fostering strong relationships with customers, distributors, and dealers.
Key Responsibilities
- Business ethics and social responsibility oversight
- Timely management of finished goods procurement
- Technical division leadership and management of all technical teams
- Team leadership, including goal setting, performance management, career planning, mentoring, and coaching
- Market share and asset management to drive revenue growth
- Customer first approach, handling customer complaints and liaising with relevant departments for prompt resolution
- Distributor and Dealer Network Management, including monthly/quarterly meetings and interaction with distributors and dealers in all markets/divisions
- Market analytics, maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price, as well as analysing trends and results, pricing, and new product performance
- Executive reporting on KPIs, preparing and attending key executive meetings
- Product launches
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Marketing / Sales / Technical
- Preferred: MBA with 10 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, including 3 years at a senior leadership role (managing team leaders)
- Code 8 drivers license and willingness to travel regularly locally and internationally on occasion
