Hire Resolve is currently recruiting for an experienced Plastic Extrusion Mechanic/Technician to join a well-established company in Durban. As a Plastic Extrusion Mechanic/Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of plastic extrusion machinery.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating plastic extrusion machines to produce high-quality products
• Daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance as per schedules
• Breakdown repair work and fault finding
• Procurement of parts
• Maintaining spare parts and stock levels
• Assisting with fine tuning of production line

The successful candidate for this role should have a solid background in plastic extrusion and machinery maintenance. Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are essential for this position.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in plastic extrusion, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of plastic extrusion machinery and processes
• Experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong technical skills and ability to read technical drawings
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
