Job Description
The individual for this position will lead the charge in designing and developing software across varied platforms. With a focus on fostering teamwork, transparency, and accountability, the ideal candidate will embody these principles in all aspects of their role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute PLC programs tailored to meet customer specifications.
- Create hardware concept designs before proceeding with implementation.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure seamless functionality.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive automation solutions.
- Oversee commissioning processes, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of PLC programming projects.
- Offer technical assistance to clients during installation and commissioning phases.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and trends in PLC programming.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols.
- Follow directives provided by the Automation Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
- Possession of a National Diploma and/or N3 in Electrical Engineering would be advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Automotive and Engineering Industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
- Essential experience in PLC programming with Mitsubishi; familiarity with Toyopuc is considered advantageous.
- Strong aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team setting.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
