About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Footwear Buyer to join our team in Durban, where you will take full ownership of the footwear buying function. As a key member of our purchasing team, you will be responsible for managing product procurement from concept through to delivery while working within OTB (Open To Buy), purchasing budgets, GP targets, and markdown frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Analysis: Analyze previous season performance and product reviews
- Supplier SWOT analysis
- Review competitor pricing and product offerings
- Interpret global trends aligned to target markets
- Gather and action store-level product feedback
- Deliver in-depth category and departmental reporting
- Product Procurement: Execute orders in line with OTB and company policy, Ensure seasonal and category OTB fulfilment, Track and manage order status across the department, Maintain data accuracy across all orders
- Trade Analysis: Conduct weekly trade performance reviews against sales plans, Adjust forward orders based on sales performance, Identify best and worst sellers by category, Recommend promotional and markdown strategies
- Minimum Requirements Management: Manage outstanding orders and amendments

- Relevant Degree/Diploma in Fashion, Textile, Production or Procurement (advantageous)
