Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
• Proven payroll processing experience (weekly/monthly payroll)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations
• Experience with accounting and payroll software
• Solid understanding of statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, SDL, VAT)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset

Duties

• Perform full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Process and manage payroll accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and submissions
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, creditors, and debtors
• Capture and reconcile financial transactions and journals
• Assist with VAT calculations, submissions, and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation
• Liaise with management, auditors, and external service providers
• Support month-end and year-end processes
• Provide general financial and administrative support as required

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
