Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
- Proven payroll processing experience (weekly/monthly payroll)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations
- Experience with accounting and payroll software
- Solid understanding of statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, SDL, VAT)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
Duties
- Perform full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
- Process and manage payroll accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and submissions
- Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, creditors, and debtors
- Capture and reconcile financial transactions and journals
- Assist with VAT calculations, submissions, and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation
- Liaise with management, auditors, and external service providers
- Support month-end and year-end processes
- Provide general financial and administrative support as required
